Why we care

What is Quality?
Quality is meeting predefined standards and requirements. It ensures products are safe, reliable and exceed customer expectations to maintain brand integrity and meet the business objectives.
At Lifescan, working in Quality means focusing on ensuring that the organisation is compliant with Medical Device Regulations, but also driving improvement to products, processes or services. A quality professional uses techniques and tools to ensure that an organisation consistently meets or exceeds customer and stakeholder needs.
Quality professionals work in a variety of functions (laboratories, systems, engineering, inspection, software etc.) and this is why the programme provides invaluable experience as apprentices rotate across departments.
What you’ll gain from our programme
Our Quality Apprenticeship programme is a fantastic opportunity to study while gaining valuable, practical knowledge & skills which are closely linked to your studies. If you’re not quite sure what your ideal job is, this programme can really help you to gain exposure and insight across the business.
As well as on the job training and personal development, this 4-year apprentice-training programme will result in the attainment of the following qualifications:
You'll receive coaching and mentoring, opportunities to work in a variety of departments tailored to your future, on a variety of projects, while picking up business, personal, and technical skills you can use now and throughout your career.
Invaluable experience is gained during workplace rotations, moving around a selection of departments within the entire quality organisation:
